R.A.A. does not guarantee the breed or the temperament of the dog listed in this contract. Breed listing and description is based on R.A.A.'s own experience with the dog. The information indicated is what we have personally evaluated as to breed and temperament of this dog while under our care. We are not responsible for wrongly labeling a breed. As to an error in temperament, understand that we have evaluated the dog to the best of our knowledge and this is not an exact science. If any concerns, we strongly encourage you to contact a professional third party for temperament evaluation. Please fill out an application if you think that you can offer Milo a forever home.

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen. Doug was hit by a car

oug was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car. Doug was lucky to be found by the police! Again in his luck he was flown to the care of Rosie Animal Adoption. Rosie was his only chance of survival. Doug will undergo hip surgery at Pierrefonds Animal Hospital. We have another dog called Lily undergoing bilateral knee surgery at DMV today. Our medical expenses have been the highest they have ever been! Please help us with our very high medical bills. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/explore/charities/?q=Rosie%20animal%20adoption
