Rosie at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Volunteers from Rosie Animal Adoption and their dogs took part in the Montreal St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17. Everyone – including the dogs! – wore their best green outfits for the occasion!
Laurie was walking with her dog Kaleigh. Here’s what she has to say about the event:
“It was brutally cold with the wind and the wait was long before things got going... but it was worth the wait. To see the happy faces and cheers as the dogs walked down St-Catherine street was awesome.
I brought Kaleigh close to the crowd to let kids and adults alike pet her. In doing so I realized that not everyone has the opportunity to be a pet owner and experience the joy we have from our beloved dogs.
It was a great experience. I think Kaleigh really enjoyed the outing ... She even got a photo op. with the Parade Queen! I think that it is a good way ... to let the public see our dogs and what they can become when given the chance.”
