Meet Leo Leo is a sweet, affectionate boy who was clearly very loved by his previous owner. He came into rescue needing hip surgery, and thanks to Rosie’s care, Leo has successfully had the procedure. His recovery is going well, but it is a process. He requires physiotherapy and specific exercises, so his future adopter must be willing to travel to a veterinarian in the West Island for follow-up care.Leo has a sparkle in his eye that makes it look like he’s always thinking. He loves to run around with his toys, soak up attention, and get lots of hugs. He’s a happy little soul who enjoys being close to his people.Because of his condition, Leo cannot jump, and stairs are not possible for him at the moment. He will continue to improve, but he will likely always have a slight limp. He is making good progress with house training, though he may still do a bit of marking.Leo is looking for a patient, committed home that understands his needs and is ready to support him through the rest of his recovery.
