This beautiful 6Ā½-year-old Miniature Schnauzer is looking for the loving forever home she truly deserves.

She has a gentle, affectionate nature and is happiest when sheā€™s with her people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company, making her a great addition to a home with a friendly canine companion. Sheā€™s also very good with older children who understand how to be gentle and respectful with dogs.

She loves spending time outside, whether itā€™s exploring the backyard, soaking up the sunshine, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. She hasnā€™t had much experience walking on a leash yet, so sheā€™ll need a patient family willing to help her build that confidence at her own pace.

More than anything, sheā€™s looking for someone who will love her as a member of the family. In return, sheā€™ll offer loyalty, companionship, and endless unconditional love. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet girl, she would love the chance to become your new best friend.

Rosie Animal Adoption is volunteer-run; we aim to save as many homeless dogs as we can.

Adoptions

When you adopt from Rosie Animal Adoption, your dog is vet-checked, dewormed, treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Puppies up to 4 months receive their first vaccines; dogs 4 months and older receive DAPP, rabies, and leptospirosis; dogs over 7 months get a heartworm/Lyme 4DX snap test. Adoption fees are $550 (standard), $450 for dogs aged 8ā€“9, and $300 for dogs 10+.

Rosie rescues dogs only and is a proud member of CAACQ. We are volunteer-run and cannot answer phone calls about animals. The first step is to complete the application; we will contact you only if youā€™re a suitable match.

We do not have a public shelter; meetings occur by appointment after approval or at adoption clinics.

Surrender

At Rosie Animal Adoption, we know surrendering a dog is hard, and the dogā€™s wellbeing comes first. Please be cautious: unaltered dogs are often targeted by backyard breeders and puppy mills, where conditions are inhumane.

Our volunteers receive many urgent requests, and with the rise of homeless dogs in Quebec, openings arenā€™t always immediate. Please be patientā€”weā€™ll help as quickly as we can and may refer you to partner groups.

Most important: never give away or sell an unaltered dog, especially ā€œfree to a good home.ā€ Spay or neuter your pet before rehoming to protect them.
